I have done some research into some places I would like to visit and have come up with 5 places:
1. Neals Yard Cafe, Covent Garden - I am going to revisit this place so i can get a wider variety of images and ensure the exposure is correct and to get a nicer feel for the place
2. Maoz, Kings Cross - This is a fast food style falafel restaurant which has a sort of american-diner style look to it
3. VX, Caledonian Road - This is a vegan shop and cafe, i haven’t seen any pictures of it but the website looks fun and quirky
4. The tea rooms, Brick Lane - This is a vintage shop and tea room and from the website it looks like a nice place but i ahven’t seen any photos of it.
5. The Gallery Cafe, Bethnal Green - This is a vegetarian cafe which looks really nice and has a nice homely feel and would work well in a sunday supplement.
I will spend tuesday and wednesday out taking pictures in these 5 locations ready to edit and try and work them into the layout during thursdays lesson.
Having visited 3 different places to try and take pictures of vegetarian food. I have come to realise that whilst it tastes nice, it is not the most photogenic food. Because of this I have decided to focus the london places part of my feature on the food places themselves, the insides, the outsides and the people.
The receipe section of the feature will contain most of the food images as this will allow me to be creative and will give me more organisation of the layout of the images.
I will do some further research into vegetarian eateries and will go out next week with this focus in mind.
